Print quality and speed for a working card programme
The Zenius 2 uses direct-to-card dye-sublimation printing to produce full-colour PVC cards edge-to-edge. Logos, photos and barcodes reach right to the card border with no white margin. Standard resolution is 300 dpi, and you can raise this to 300×600 dpi for enhanced colour detail. Monochrome work can go further still, to 300×1200 dpi, which gives crisp text and sharp barcodes on black-only cards.
Speed in practice
At up to 180 colour cards per hour, the Zenius 2 suits on-demand and small-to-medium batch printing without creating a backlog. If your programme runs predominantly monochrome, such as security passes or visitor cards with black text only, the printer reaches 700 cards per hour. The 50-card input feeder means you can load a batch and walk away. A card-by-card insertion slot is also available when yo..

Print quality and speed for a working card programme
The Pronto100 is the fastest printer in Magicard's compact range. At standard colour mode, it prints an edge-to-edge colour card in 18 seconds. Switch to HD photo quality and that rises to 23 seconds per card, with photo-realistic colour reproduction that holds up well for portrait ID work. For text-only or barcode cards, the monochrome setting runs at 4.7 seconds per card. At that pace, a batch of visitor passes at a front desk is printed before a queue forms.
Edge-to-edge colour printing uses Magicard's optimised colour profiles to carry the design to the very edge of the card. This means there is no white border around your design, so you can produce professional-looking cards quickly and easily. The dye film cassette printer ribbon drops straight in, with no film threading. So, replacing a ribbon is just as fast as printing cards.
Rewritable card support is built in, so temporary cards, visitor passes and short-term credentials ca..

At 300 dpi, the ZC100 produces photo-quality colour ID cards with accurate flesh tones, sharp text and scannable barcodes. Colour cards print at 150 per hour, so a busy reception desk or HR team can keep up with demand without waiting around. Monochrome output reaches 700 cards per hour.
Full-colour printing uses a YMCKO ribbon for photo ID badges and branded cards. The five panels cover yellow, magenta, cyan, black and a protective overlay. Monochrome printing covers text-only passes, access cards and anything where colour isn't needed, at a much faster rate. The ZC100 prints edge to edge on standard CR-80 stock, so your design runs to the card border with no white margin.
The 100-card input and output hoppers mean you can run a batch and step away. If you need to print a single card outside of a batch, the manual feed slot handles it directly. An LED bezel guides the card in, so the process is straightforward even for staff who aren't regular users.
Connectivity, Encoding and Fit-Everywhere Design
The ZC100 is slim enough to sit on a reception desk or in a shared office without dominating the workspace, and its clean lines make it presentable in customer-facing areas.
USB 2.0 is standard, with Ethernet as an optional upgrade. It connects the printer to your network so you can manage card printing from a separate workstation. Wi-Fi is also available as an option. If a cable run isn..

Print quality and throughput for a working card programme
The Primacy 2 uses direct-to-card dye-sublimation for colour cards. Monochrome printing uses resin thermal transfer. Both technologies produce edge-to-edge results, so logos and backgrounds reach the full card face without a white border.
Colour printing
At 280 cards per hour, the single-sided model can process roughly 2,200 cards in a standard working day. The printer's colour profile system adjusts output to keep photos, logos and custom graphics accurate and consistent across long print runs.
High-resolution mode
The 300 × 1200 dpi monochrome printing mode sharpens text and barcodes significantly. It's worth enabling for cards that carry small-font information or machine-read codes like QR codes.
Dual-sided printing
The double-sided (also called the duplex) model prints both faces of the card automatically at up to 170 cards per hour. If you need to print terms, barcodes or access info..

Print quality and speed you can plan around
The ZC300 uses dye-sublimation thermal transfer printing at 300 dpi, producing edge-to-edge colour or monochrome output on standard CR80 plastic cards. Single-sided, it prints up to 200 full-colour YMCKO cards per hour and up to 900 monochrome cards per hour. The dual-sided model adds an integrated card flipper for automatic two-sided printing, with throughput of 140 YMCKOK colour cards per hour and 450 monochrome cards per hour. Both hoppers hold 100 cards and adjust automatically to card thickness, so switching between 10 mil and 30 mil stock does not require manual reconfiguration. A manual feed slot with LED guidance handles individual cards when you need to print one at a time.
Connectivity and encoding options
Standard connectivity is USB 2.0 and built-in Ethernet 10/100, which means the ZC300 can sit on your network and serve multiple workstations without additional hardware. Wi-Fi (802.11ac) is available as a field-upgradeable option if a wired connection is not practical.
Encoding is modular. The base printer ships without encoding, which keeps the cost down for organisations that only need printed cards. Magnetic stripe encoding (ISO 7811, tracks 1, 2 and 3; high and low coercivity) is available as a field upgrade, meaning you can add it later without replacing the printer. Contactless and smart card encoding options are also available for more complex card programmes.
Security built into the hardware
The ZC300 includes printer-to-host authentication and AES data encryption, so the print stream between your computer and the printer is protected. A Kensington lock slot lets you physically secure the printer in shared or public-facing workspaces. A locking card hopper deters opportunistic theft of card stock and rejec..

Print quality and speed that suit a working card programme
The Magicard 300 prints at 300 x 300 dpi using colour dye sublimation, which means skin tones in photos and corporate logo colours reproduce accurately. A full-colour single-sided card takes 23 seconds, giving you 160 cards per hour on colour runs. Monochrome jobs run considerably faster at 720 cards per hour, making it practical for large batches of text-only or single-colour membership cards and visitor passes.
The 100-card input hopper keeps the printer fed during batch runs without needing attention, and the 70-card output stacker collects finished cards neatly. A hand-feed slot handles one-off prints and rewritable card jobs without disturbing the loaded hopper.
Card security: HoloKote® and Digital Shredding
The Magicard 300 includes two built-in security layers to protect your data and your physical ID cards.
HoloKote® prints a transparent watermark across the surface of every card during the normal print cycle, using the overlay panel of your YMCKO or YMCKOK ribbon so no extra consumables are needed. The printer comes with three standard watermark designs, and you can add custom designs based on your organisation's own logo or security artwork. The watermark is visible when the card is tilted in the light, making duplicated or doctored cards easy to spot.
Digital Shredding addresses a less obvious risk: personal data held in printer memory after a job completes. Once the Magicard 300 has used that data to print, it fragments and disperses it so that it cannot be recovered. For organisations subject to UK GDPR obligations around personal data, this is a pract..

Print quality, speed and the card designs you can produce
The ZC350 uses dye-sublimation and thermal transfer in a single pass. Dye panels on the ribbon transfer colour directly into the card surface, and a resin layer on the same ribbon lays down sharp black text and precise barcodes on top. Together they produce edge-to-edge print at 300 dpi across any standard CR80 card. Thanks to this print technology, the ZC350 printer is well suited to cards carrying small fonts, QR codes or close-cropped photographs, as all three resolve cleanly.
Card output
At 225 cards per hour single-sided, the ZC350 handles a busy card programme without becoming a bottleneck. Monochrome output reaches 1,000 cards per hour, which makes it a practical choice for any site printing large runs of access badges in black resin.
Speciality ribbons
The ZC350 is compatible with ribbons beyond standard YMCKO. A long-life overlay ribbon adds a protective layer that extends card durability to three to five years and can embed a watermark visible only under UV or when the card is tilted. A pearlescent ribbon embeds colour-shifting graphics that are difficult to replicate, and a metallic colour ribbon produces 3D-style text and logo effects. These options give cards a layer of visual security without requiring a separate laminator.

Print quality and speed for a working card programme
A full-colour card with a HoloKote® watermark takes around 19 seconds. At that pace, the Magicard 600 produces up to 190 cards per hour, enough to handle a large new-starter intake or a scheduled card renewal without the printer becoming a bottleneck.
The colour resolution is 300 dpi, which gives you crisp photo IDs and solid branding. Switch to the 600 x 300 dpi resin-only mode and text stays readable down to 5-point type, so barcodes, micro-text and reference numbers come out cleanly even at very small sizes. For monochrome-only jobs, the 600 produces around 720 cards per hour.

The printer ships as single-sided, with dual-sided printing available as an upgrade. A dual-sided setup lets you put the cardholder's photo, name and role ..
