Magicard Pronto100 ID Card Printer (Single-Sided)

Magicard Pronto100 ID Card Printer Overview

The Magicard Pronto100 is a single-sided ID card printer built for organisations that need to produce professional ID cards and badges in-house, without a large machine or a complicated setup. It suits teams printing up to around 1,000 cards per year and arrives ready to use with EasyBadge Lite card design software included.

Magicard designed the Pronto100 to be the fastest and highest-quality printer in its class. The footprint is smaller than an A4 sheet of paper, so it sits comfortably on a desk, yet produces excellent results.

The printer is built and packaged from over 75% recycled or recyclable material, so it comes with an environmental conscience from day one.

Print quality and speed for a working card programme

The Pronto100 is the fastest printer in Magicard's compact range. At standard colour mode, it prints an edge-to-edge colour card in 18 seconds. Switch to HD photo quality and that rises to 23 seconds per card, with photo-realistic colour reproduction that holds up well for portrait ID work. For text-only or barcode cards, the monochrome setting runs at 4.7 seconds per card. At that pace, a batch of visitor passes at a front desk is printed before a queue forms.

Edge-to-edge colour printing uses Magicard's optimised colour profiles to carry the design to the very edge of the card. This means there is no white border around your design, so you can produce professional-looking cards quickly and easily. The dye film cassette printer ribbon drops straight in, with no film threading. So, replacing a ribbon is just as fast as printing cards.

Rewritable card support is built in, so temporary cards, visitor passes and short-term credentials can be erased and reprinted on the same plastic card rather than discarded.

The 50-card input hopper loads a working batch in one go. The matching 50-card output stacker collects finished cards cleanly. For smaller runs or one-off reprints, the hand-fed slot takes a single card without touching the hopper load.

Card security: HoloKote® and Digital Shredding

Every card the Pronto100 prints carries a HoloKote® watermark as standard. The printer presses a fine repeating pattern into the card's clear overlay during the normal print process, using no separate laminate or extra ribbon. The Pronto100 offers three standard HoloKote designs that are built in, selectable from the print driver.

Digital Shredding fragments and renders unreadable any data sent to the printer after each job completes. So, there is nothing left in the printer's memory for anyone to recover once a job is done. This matters under UK data protection rules, where organisations are expected to control what happens to personal data used in printing.

For a more visible security feature, the Pronto100 is compatible with HoloPatch cards. Printed onto a HoloPatch card, the HoloKote® watermark is enhanced by the card's reflective gold foil, making it readable from across a room.

Clix management, software and warranty

Clix is Magicard's remote user interface for the Pronto100. It covers printer setup, maintenance, diagnostics and supply monitoring, including proactive low-ribbon alerts so you are not caught short mid-batch.

EasyBadge Lite is included with the printer. It handles card design and data management on Windows, and the EasyBadge App lets you collect photos and data on a mobile device before importing them into the system. If your programme outgrows Lite, EasyBadge scales upward without requiring a new printer.

The warranty is a 3-year MagiCover Limited Warranty, which covers the printer body and the printhead up to 50,000 cards or 250,000 panels. An optional fourth-year extension is also available.

For ongoing supplies, the Pronto100 uses the Magicard MD100YMCKO full-colour dye film ribbon (100 prints per roll) and Magicard MA1000K monochrome ribbons. These are available through Castlemount's Magicard printer ribbons range. Blank white PVC cards in CR80 format, including FOTODEK ICE White cards, are available from Castlemount's blank ID cards range. Once cards are printed, lanyards and card holders are available to complete each ID setup.

Who the Magicard Pronto100 was Designed for
