The Evolis Zenius 2 is a compact, single-sided ID card printer designed for organisations that need to produce professional cards in-house without taking up significant workspace.

Using dye-sublimation and thermal transfer printing, the Zenius 2 can create full-colour or monochrome cards with edge-to-edge coverage. It supports standard CR80 cards and is suitable for printing employee ID cards, membership cards, visitor passes, access credentials, loyalty cards and retail price cards.

The printer can produce up to 180 full-colour cards or 700 monochrome cards per hour, making it suitable for both occasional card production and higher-volume print requirements. A 50-card input feeder and separate front and rear output trays help keep card handling straightforward.

Two printer versions are available. The Classic model includes USB connectivity for simple desktop printing, while the Expert model adds Ethernet connectivity and supports optional magnetic stripe, contact chip and contactless encoding modules. The Expert version also supports UV-effect and double-overlay ribbons for applications requiring additional visual security or card protection.

The Zenius 2 can also print on compatible rewritable cards, allowing temporary information to be erased and replaced. This is useful for reusable visitor cards, temporary passes and regularly updated retail display cards.
