The E9100, CK1 and 3633-0053 all do the same core job. The T-shaped cards clean the internal card path and transport rollers, while a cleaning pen handles the printhead directly. The 3633-0054 does something different: its adhesive sleeves catch dust and debris on the card as it passes through the machine, so it's worth using alongside a T-card kit, not on its own.

What's the difference between the E9100 and CK1 kits?

They're built for different printers, not different jobs. The E9100 is designed specifically for the Pronto 100 and includes 10 T-shaped cleaning cards. The CK1 covers the Pronto, Alto, Tempo and Opera instead, with 5 cards. Both include a cleaning pen.

What do the cleaning rollers and sleeves do differently?

They clean the card itself before it enters the printer, rather than cleaning inside the printer. The adhesive sleeve picks up dust and debris from the card's surface, which helps stop that debris ever reaching the printhead or internal card path in the first place.

Can I use the CK1 kit on a Magicard 300 or 600?

No. The CK1 is built for the Pronto, Alto, Tempo and Opera. For a 300 or 600, use the 3633-0053 kit instead, or the 3633-0054 rollers and sleeves alongside it.

How often should I clean my Magicard printer?

We'd recommend doing it at every ribbon change. It's a moment you're already at the printer for, so it turns cleaning into a habit rather than a separate job you have to remember to schedule in.

Do I need both a T-card kit and the rollers and sleeves kit?

They cover different parts of the job: the T-card kit cleans inside the printer, the rollers and sleeves stop debris getting that far in the first place. Using both gives more complete protection, though it isn't compulsory.
